The purpose of PDG is to make a lasting impact on outcomes for disadvantaged learners.

PDG allocated to Pembrey CP School  2016/17  - £58,650

Early Years PDG allocated to Ysgol Penbre 2016/17- £2100

To improve the standard of literacy:

To provide interventions that focus on improving the attainment of children from deprived backgrounds, specifically for those who are eFSM eligible.

 

To provide targeted interventions to ensure that every eFSM learner benefits as an individual, and that the school as a whole improve its capacity to support all learners reach their full potential.

 

To improve standards in numeracy:

To provide interverntion to boost eFSM pupils numeracy skills. Disadvantaged pupils who have fallen behind, or missed out on developing vital skills at an early age, need more intensive interventions such as  following a programme called Springboard.

To support pupil’s aspirations:

To help pupils from deprived backgrounds to access a wider range of opportunities to learn and support children’s ambitions for the future.

To support pupils ‘ Digital Literacy skills by providing high quality resources for both home and school  to challenge and support MAT pupils (Bug Club / TT Rockstars, J2E)

To improve pupils wellbeing:

To help promote eFSM pupils’ social and emotional wellbeing.  To invest in time into a programme that promote mental resilience, strengthen coping mechanisms and the ability to deal with anxiety and stress. Both in the Foundation Phase and in KS2

To support e-FSM pupils with wellbeing programme ‘ ‘Positive Play’,  and ‘Thiking Detectives’
